PLAYS
‘Danny’ and ‘Montgomery’ two plays by Roger Goldsmith
The SCAAC are delighted to host two plays by Roger Goldsmith on 25th 26th 27th October 2024 at 7.30 pm i.e.the premiere of ‘Danny’ – Leigh Cunningham Sue Bartlett and Stuart Frank playing the three adult parts, together with Reuben Terry and Freya Hawkesplaying the two teenage parts. ‘Danny’ tells the story of a teenage boy bullied at school with a less than sympathetic Father at home and what happens when charged with giving a speech to the Lord Mayor on the school’s Open Day, Danny fluffs his lines runs off and goes missing.
Leigh Cunningham joins forces with Patric Howe reprising their roles in the comedy play ‘Montgomery’ following on from the successful Wedgewood Rooms production in December 2016, a play staged at the Hope Theatre in 2016 which one reviewer described as ‘ a light hearted disposable piece of fluff and gloriously entertaining.’
Both plays will be directed by Steve Pitt.
