Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre Launches Exciting Fundraising Campaign to Sustain Creative Community Hub
Southsea, – Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre, the beating heart of Portsmouth’s vibrant arts scene, is thrilled to announce the launch of a dynamic new fundraising campaign. Designed to secure the future of this much-loved cultural hub, the initiative promises a mix of innovative events and opportunities for the community to get involved.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre has been a cornerstone for creativity, hosting independent films, art exhibitions, workshops, and live performances that inspire and unite the community. With increasing financial challenges, this campaign aims to ensure that the centre continues to thrive and serve as a space where art, culture, and people connect.
DNB Fundraiser Party for Southsea Cinema
Join us on 15th February, 2pm-10pm, for an electrifying Drum & Bass fundraiser party at Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre! This special event features some of the most exciting names in the DnB scene:
- ILL TRUTH: A Bristol-based music production duo known for their innovative sound and impressive collaborations with labels like Sofa Sound Bristol, Overview Music, and Symmetry Recordings. Their imprint, Truth Hertz, launched in 2023 and is already gaining recognition as a label to watch.

His debut EP, “The Looking Glass,” is a must-listen for fans of dancefloor-driven, emotional DNB.

- Local Art Auction: Bid on one-of-a-kind pieces donated by talented local artists, who exhibited at our centre on Sunday 16th February 6pm
- Live Music Nights – Open Your Mouth : Celebrations of young people’s live music performances for a month – every Saturday evening.
