Roger Goldsmith brings another series of short plays to the SCAAC on the 11th and 13th April at 7.-30 PM. This follows the pattern of similar such events produced since November 2022, all of which have been very successful, with positive reviews.
Six plays by six different writers, bringing together local actors used previously, and those from wider afield, some of whom are professional, in addition to new writers- including the award winning screenplay writer Carol Younghusband with her play ‘Sisters Under the Skin’ performed by Corinne Strickett . The other five plays:-The ex-Coronation Street actress and writer Janet Rawson with an adaptation of her short story ‘Bushfire’ taken from her book of short stories ‘Angels with Bruises’, performed by the writer. A personal story of roots and heritage by Esther Harris, performed by Dianna Hardy, with music by Dot Donny. ‘Soup’ a comedy by Christine Lawrence, an established local novelist, performed by the writer and Franchesca Nicholson. ‘Sometime’ by the prolific and talented playwright Kia Wilson, performed by Megan Joan Green and Peter Colley, and finally ‘Afterlife’ by Roger Goldsmith, performed by Tony Course and Graham Brown. Not to be missed.
