Statement from the music bands:
“We are Caffeine Low, a newly formed band currently looking into various music genres, though we identify as an alt rock band for the time being. Our group currently consists of six members: two guitarists, two vocalists, a bassist, and a drummer.

Our band consists of Charlie and Milo as guitarists, Angie on bass, Dani on drums, and both Charlie and Ellis providing vocals. As I mentioned earlier, we are a newly formed group exploring various
rock genres to figure out which styles suit us best. While our music is mainly rock, we are experimenting with different subgenres within it.”

“We are Fever Dream, a local Portsmouth band trying to make a dream come true and play
gigs to all the people. We take heavy inspiration from 90s to 2000s grunge rock and the current modern ‘indie’ industry. Our platforms can be found on TikTok and Instagram.”

“We’re Sylveria, a band who merges genres such as Nu metal, Alternative metal, Grunge,
and Shoegaze. We take elements across the spectrum of these genres aswell as many more, ranging from the hardcore Metal scene to Jazz. We have created our own unique sound over the last 5 months, inspired by the likes of Deftones & Fleshwater, and many more bands in these styles. We have our two guitarists, Ky and Dom, our drummer Tyler, we have Josh on Bass and our Lead singer, Gracie. Together, We are Sylveria.”

Aysegul Epengin, the director of Portsmouth Film Society said:
“We are so excited to host the young bands. Southsea Cinema & Arts Centre is excited to introduce you to some great music and celebrate our third-year anniversary in Palmerston Road. We believe young musicians need more opportunity to perform in our city. We invite everyone to join us to see Southsea Arts Hidden Talent in Portsmouth. Email us if you wish to take a part.”
