Portsmouth, Southsea – Renowned drum & bass artist Ed Warrener, famously known as Ed:it, is to headline an exclusive night of pulsating beats and soulful rhythms on April 20th from 10 PM to 3 AM. The event promises an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts, offering a unique blend of meaningful and gritty drum & bass.
Hailing from Nottingham, Ed:it entered the music scene in 2010 and has since evolved into one of the industry’s finest purveyors of drum & bass. Garnering fans from all corners of the music spectrum, Ed:it has enjoyed substantial support from some of the biggest names and labels in the drum & bass genre.
Ed:it’s journey began with releases on influential labels such as Critical Music, Demand Records, and Flexout Audio. Over the years, he has collaborated with notable artists like Pennygiles, Hyroglifics, Overlook, and Eastcolors. His releases on Blu Mar Ten Music, Commercial Suicide, and Rooted Recordings have further solidified his status, with legends like Total Science crafting impactful remixes of his tracks.
Having caught the attention of Friction and K-Tee, Ed:it swiftly found a home on the esteemed Shogun Audio roster by 2016. His major releases, including the ‘Pathways EP,’ ‘South City EP,’ and ‘The Junction EP,’ showcased his distinctive sound, earning him an exclusive signing with the label. Notable remixes on Shogun Audio, such as ‘Fourward – What if’ and ‘DJ Marky & Pola & Bryson – Into the Blue,’ added to his growing acclaim.
After a brief hiatus, Ed:it returns stronger than ever, dedicating himself to a flurry of new music in 2023 and beyond. With releases on Symmetry Recordings, Dispatch, Innerground, Sofa Sound, C.I.A, and Flexout Audio, Ed:it continues to push the boundaries of his unique sound. Collaborations with artists like Creatures, Kyrist, and Quadrant & Iris further showcase his versatility and creativity.
A seasoned DJ, Ed:it has graced the airwaves on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Mistajam, and D&B Arena. His live performances at renowned venues such as Fabric, Brixton Academy, Cable, Sun & Bass Festival, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, Printworks, and Detonate Festival have left an indelible mark on audiences worldwide.
As Ed:it takes on the stage for an exclusive night, attendees can expect an immersive journey through his deep, soulful, and gritty tones. The event promises to be a celebration of drum & bass music at its finest.
The young local DJs will play with ED:IT, HAVOC, DENCI and REPLETE.
Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre Venue Director, Aysegul Epengin, expressed excitement about bringing Ed:it to Portsmouth, stating, “It is great news that we are able to bring headline ED:IT to Portsmouth after a long time. We’ve hosted a few popular DnB events with THERAPY DnB, was our main residence group. We are looking forward to bringing more headliners like Ed:it to our venue for DnB and House music enthusiasts.”

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards all harassment and prejudice. If you are made to feel uncomfortable in any way, please do not hesitate to speak to any volunteer/staff and we will help immediately. All staff are trained in safety and awareness. Any problem please ask for Ayse (Aysegul).
We will be providing cups, pierceable only by a straw, on request. No glass bottle will be served.
Any unattended drinks will be discarded.
Doors open at 9pm and will close at 3am. We have no-readmission policy for our club events with the last entry time at 11.30pm Please arrive according to the time allocated on your ticket as this will allow for a guaranteed (and smooth) entry – if you arrive after the time on your ticket, you may not be granted entrance to the venue.
If you wish to resell your ticket, please advise us before you do. Please do not purchase tickets through social media, we are unable to help with anyone who has been scammed.
Our Club events are 18+ so please bring valid photo ID.
