Listening to the Soul: An Inner Landscape Made Visible

Southsea Cinema & Arts Centre presents Sense of Flow, a solo exhibition by Zekiye Tecim Tellioğlu, an artist whose work emerges from a deeply reflective inner journey, where nature, memory, and emotion converge.

Rooted in abstraction and guided by intuition, Tellioğlu’s paintings do not seek to describe nature as a visible form, but rather to express what remains after it is felt. In this exhibition, leaves are not represented as objects, but as sensations — fleeting, fragile, and quietly persistent.

Art Slogan

“Art is the celebration of one’s soul’s existence, created through works born from listening to the soul during an inner journey.”

About the Work – Sense of Flow

In Sense of Flow, the artist explores the delicate boundary between what is seen and what is sensed.

Soft tones and abstracted leaf forms create compositions that feel suspended in time. Light colours speak of transience, vulnerability, and breath, turning the surface of the canvas into a silent, living presence. Here, light is not used to illuminate — it becomes emotion itself.

Nature’s most simple relationship with light is reinterpreted through subtle movement and rhythm. As the artist moves gently between revelation and concealment, the viewer is invited to pause, to trust their intuition, and to encounter their own inner responses.

Authenticity & Artistic Integrity

Zekiye Tecim Tellioğlu’s practice is grounded in authentic process and sincerity. Each work is the result of sustained observation, emotional attentiveness, and a commitment to listening rather than directing. The paintings are not decorative gestures but traces of lived experience, carrying the quiet authority of an artist who allows meaning to emerge organically.

Her work resists spectacle, instead offering stillness — a space where viewers are encouraged to slow down and reconnect with their own emotional landscapes.
