Therapy Comes to Town: First Ever Streamed Event!
We are thrilled to announce that Therapy, Portsmouth’s premier Drum and Bass (DnB) night, is back with a bang for its very first streamed event, hosted at the Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre. This exciting occasion promises to deliver the original DnB sound that Therapy is renowned for, with a lineup curated to showcase diverse styles within the genre.

Meet the Lineup
Jamm:n
At the forefront of Therapy is the legendary Jamm:n, a pivotal figure in the DnB scene since the 90s. As the only successful DnB DJ on the South Coast during that era, Jamm:n made waves with his own label and events. After a hiatus, he’s back with fresh releases on Detail Recordings, Soul in Motion, and Default Recordings. His fortnightly radio show on BassDrive DnB radio continues to captivate audiences. Supported by DnB icons like Lynx, Randall, Fabio, Doc Scott, and Ray Keith, Jamm:n’s influence is undeniable.
Jamm:n shared his vision for Therapy, stating,
“It’s not about making money or trying to grow it into something massive and all the pitfalls that brings. It’s about small/medium venues that hold a great atmosphere and everyone having a good time. Southsea Cinema & Arts Centre is the new Therapy HQ at this time as we have nothing but good feedback from this venue when we do events, great location, central, new, and acoustically sound.”
Wesley Brown
Joining Jamm:n is Therapy resident DJ and supporter of Portsmouth’s ‘Beats n Swing’ events, Wesley Brown. Known for his electrifying sets, Wesley is a staple in the local DnB community. DJ Wesley Brown’s musical journey began in 1993, where he first delved into the world of DJing with a set of Technics and a profound love for broken beat music. From the early days of hardcore to the emergence of jungle and drum & bass, DJ Wesley Brown has evolved alongside the ever-changing landscape of electronic music. With a diverse range of musical influences and an “anything goes” ethos, DJ Wesley Brown brings a unique energy and style to his performances.
Roni
From Fusion Events, we welcome Roni, celebrated for his diverse style and memorable performances at previous Therapy events. Roni’s dynamic sets are sure to keep the energy high.
Lees and Cloaker
Showcasing local talent, Lees & Cloaker will be spinning tracks that highlight the vibrant DnB scene in Portsmouth. Their fresh beats and innovative mixes are not to be missed.
Hosts and MCs
The night will be hosted and MC’d by the dynamic S-Ence and Dunn. Their energetic presence and smooth lyrical flow will keep the crowd engaged and the vibes immaculate.
A Word from Our Venue Director
The Southsea Cinema and Arts Centre director, Aysegul Epengin, expressed their excitement about this collaboration, saying, “We are thrilled that the Therapy group is becoming our main residence for our venue. We had very successful events with them over the last two years. We are improving our venue for them; we invested in a new sound system and sealed every crack to prevent our sound from traveling to our neighbors.”
